Describe and explain the four steps of creative behavior

What will be an ideal response?

Creative behavior occurs in four steps, each of which is linked to the next. In the first step, problem formulation, a problem or opportunity that requires a solution as yet unknown is identified. So, the act of creativity begins with a problem that the behavior is designed to solve. Next is the information gathering stage during which possible solutions to the problem incubate in the individual's mind. This step allows for time to learn more and to process the information. Third, idea generation occurs. During this step, the information gathered in step two is translated into ideas. Idea generation is often a collaborative process. Finally, during the idea evaluation step, potential solutions to the problem are considered and the best solution is chosen.
