Why is this condition the most common CVA that can occur in the dental office?

A 65-year-old female presents with a positive medical history. She states that she has had six documented TIAs within the last 12 months. She is in the dental office for the extraction of the maxillary third molars. She states to the dental auxiliary that she is very anxious and was unable to sleep the night before due to anxiety. Before the dentist can enter the treatment room, the patient loses consciousness.

What will be an ideal response?

This type of CVA occurs because of an increase in the systolic blood pressure. This increase occurs because of stress or anxiety that can be common with dental patients.
