Explain the purpose of a Personal Health Record
What will be an ideal response?
As patients and consumers become better informed of the expected outcomes of illnesses, the modalities of treatment, and the interactions of medications, they are taking more responsibility for keeping their own records. Through the promotion and use of patient PHRs, health care providers are offered the opportunity to compare their records against those of their patients, thereby leading to the possibility of improved consistency of data between both parties.
