Somebody suggests that high-key lighting has much less aesthetic potential than chiaroscuro
What will be an ideal response?
Answer:
Strongly disagree. While we tend to associate chiaroscuro lighting with drama and aesthetics, high key lighting can hold just as much weight when it comes to influencing our aesthetic perception and emotions. High key lighting can make us feel like the subjects are in a state of normalcy, cleanliness, and general happiness or alternatively, it can create a monotonous environment in which we feel the subjects are robotic and uneasy.
