Why are GFR values above 60 not clinically significant?
What will be an ideal response?
The GFR is used to assess decreased kidney function. A high GFR indicates the kidney is functioning adequately. When the kidney is functioning properly, the filtration rate becomes more indicative of fluid intake than kidney function and no longer indicates "disease."
