Ultraviolet radiation is just above the section for violet light within the visible light band and below an unnamed radiation and X-rays. Its wavelength range is shorter than violet light (180 nm to 400 nm) and further divided into the following bands:
UVA (320 nm to 400 nm)
UVB (290 nm to 320 nm)
UVC (180 nm to 290 nm)
