If you were asked to assess your psychology instructor's personality, what methods would you use?
What will be an ideal response?
ANSWER:
?Any of the four methods that psychologists use to assess personality could be used. Observation would provide information about how the instructor interacts with other people. A nonprojective personality measure requiring yes-no, multiple-choice, or true-false answers or providing ratings would give information about the instructor that could be compared with other people's test results. Projective personality measures, such as an inkblot, the draw-a-person test, or the Thematic Apperception Test, would provide information about the instructor's needs, fantasies, conflicts, thought patterns, and other aspects of personality. An interview would provide information about the instructor's personality from his or her own view.
