Identify and describe the four different perspectives considered by the balanced scorecard
What will be an ideal response?
The balanced scorecard is a system a company can use to relate its mission and vision to its individual business activities. The scorecard takes four perspectives into consideration. The customer perspective examines how customers view the company. The internal business perspective examines what the company must do well to succeed. The innovation and learning perspective examines how the company can continue to grow and generate value. Finally, the financial perspective examines how the company is viewed by its shareholders. The scorecard then identifies the relationship between the company's mission and vision and the different perspectives, as well as the ways in which the perspectives influence each other.
