What are the major advantages and disadvantages associated with print advertising media (newspapers and magazines)?

What will be an ideal response?

The two main print media–magazines and newspapers–share many advantages and disadvantages. Newspapers are timely and offer good local market coverage, broad acceptance, and high believability. Also, advertisers have some flexibility in designing and placing newspaper ads. However, newspapers' relatively poor reproduction quality, short shelf life, and small "pass-along" audience can diminish the ads' impact. Magazines offer high geographic and demographic selectivity, credibility and prestige, and high-quality reproduction. Other benefits are a long life and good pass-along readership. The disadvantages of magazine advertising include a long lead time for buying ads and some waste in circulation.
