Define
the information you need to collect in order to decide upon your topic.  Then create a
hypothetical circumstance, giving details of the answers you are provided and the resultant
choices you will make to implement and avoid.
What will be an ideal response?

Answer should include a good selection of the following:  the audience demographics,
the occasion, the size of the audience, the sponsoring organization, time of day of the
presentation, whether or not food will be served, expected length of speech, why the
speech has been requested, whether this should be based on personal experience or a
broader, generally researched topic, if there will be other speakers and their topics, the
venue, and the audience?s familiarity with and attitude toward the topic.  The
remainder of the responses will vary but should be consistent with the point of the
question.
