Students should become familiar with local/community resources for job vacancy listings. These may include the local newspaper, local job fairs, local employment offices, the externship site supervisor/manager, the career services/job placement department at the college, and so on. For specific individuals (rather than publications or events), encourage students to collect all the contact information for those individuals and keep them readily available during their job search phase.
