In 1983, how is the vision institutionalized? How does Iacocca personally exemplify the principles he espouses?
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: Iacocca institutionalizes the vision by assigning each of the 300 top managers to help 10 subordinates understand and become committed to the vision. This gives them the opportunity to teach (solidifying their own understanding and beliefs) as well as to spread the vision throughout the rest of the company. He could ask this of them because he was able to look around the room and say "Ten of you are my proteges."
