Summarize the problems and general findings on the effectiveness of therapy
What will be an ideal response?
The answer should identify several problems that complicate research on therapeutic
outcome. It should then contrast Eysenck's original pessimistic findings with more recent
optimistic findings that all the major forms of therapy tend to help people with their problems,
as opposed to no therapy. A strong answer will identify patient and therapist characteristics that
predict successful outcomes.
