Describe the five steps of the basic marketing research process
What will be an ideal response?
The marketing research process involves five steps: defining the problem, designing the research, conducting the research, analyzing the research, and addressing the problem in a research report. Managers must know what is wrong in defining the problem. The research questions may be explored through exploratory, descriptive, or explanatory research. Next, the information needed and a plan for gathering and presenting is made. Then, secondary and primary data must be collected to compile and analyze. After analysis, the important information must be presented to management for decision making.
