Describe the differences and similarities between fear and anxiety?

Fear occurs in the presence of an easily identifiable threat. When the threat is not apparent, the fear subsides. Anxiety is a vague sense of apprehension that occurs even in the absence of any easily identifiable threat. Both fear and anxiety have the same physiological manifestations.
