For Reading 15.5, Lucretia Marinella, The Nobility and Excellence of Women: In what ways might Marinella’s defense of women have found inspiration in Castiglione’s Book of the Courtier (see Chapter 14)?

What will be an ideal response?

Although arguing for the virtues of women, Marinella seems to have found inspiration from Castiglione’s Book of the Courtier in its argument for the well-rounded education of men and its reflection in their appearance. Marinella builds on this argument by arguing that women are naturally far more beautiful, and the implication is that it is reflective of their natural virtue.
