Briefly describe the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare)

What will be an ideal response?

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also called Obamacare, was signed into law in March, 2010. This law mandates a system that provides and offers health care coverage for all Americans. The goal of this law is to reduce the costs of health care for individuals as well as the government and to expand Medicaid coverage to cover individuals and families that would previously not qualify for this coverage.
