Because listeners do not have the opportunity to turn back the pages of your speech, the speaker should use redundancy, or repetition of key ideas. This helps make the speech memorable, because we are more likely to remember something if we hear it three times than if we hear it only once. Redundancy may be accomplished by telling them what you are going to tell them, tell them, and tell them what you told them.
