You want to give your next speech on the topic of recycling. You already have a great deal of

information about the topic, and it?s something you care about.

However, this is supposed to
be a persuasive speech, and you doubt that anyone is going to disagree with you about the
importance of recycling.  What are some specific things you can do to put  together an effective
persuasive speech on recycling for a favorable audience?

The speaker in this instance needs to understand how best to deal with a favorable
audience.  The key is to reinforce the audience?s positive attitudes in a way that will
move the audience to take action on their existing beliefs.  Students need to be able to
come up with specific ways this can be done, such as the use of humor and the use of
specific tips of how and where to recycle.
