How do sleep patterns differ for neonates that remain in close physical contact with their mothers all day?

What will be an ideal response?

In many developing countries, neonates are worn while their mothers work. This close physical contact seems to have an effect on their sleep patterns. These infants tend to doze off during the day and spend more time napping. At night they sleep alongside their mothers and so they feed more regularly. They therefore rarely sleep for longer than 3 hours at a time, day or night.
