"Work for hire" and "fair use" are exceptions to the rules of copyright. Briefly explain what these are including why they are considered exceptions

What will be an ideal response?

Work for hire is a person employed to produce a specific work, such as a
speechwriter. Once the work is produced, the work for hire is paid for his/her service but the
hiring agency, organization, or so forth retains the rights to the work. Fair use is a legal concept
meaning that a limited and finite portion of a work can be used in another work. This is often
seen in education and research.
