A good abstract will summarize one's findings and highlight important areas of research. What are the main components that should be included?
What will be an ideal response?
An abstract should be 50-200 words on the most important research findings of the study, and can contain some of the key methodological features of the study and their implications on the major findings. References should not be included. Its goal is to provide enough information to interest readers and to help them determine if they should read the whole article.
1. A statement identifying the key focus or issue considered in the study.
2. The nature of the data analyzed in the study.
3. The major finding or result examined in the report.
4. Potential use or implication of the reported finding.
