What is a piggybacked acknowledgement?
What will be an ideal response?
When a data packet arrives, instead of immediately sending a separate acknowledgement packet, the receiver retains itself and waits until the next data packet is available. The acknowledgement is attached to the outgoing data packet using the ack field in the frame header. The technique of temporarily delaying outgoing acknowledgements so that they can be hooked onto the next outgoing data frame is known as piggybacking. And this acknowledgment is piggybacked ACK.
