Explain the distinction between intrinsic and associated value as discussed in this chapter. Use examples

What will be an ideal response?

Intrinsic value is the valuableness of the core product or service being sold. If a product (say, an automobile, appliance, tool, etc.) works properly and meets customer needs it will have appropriate intrinsic value. Associated value goes beyond the core product to encompass the entire customer experience with the company. An automobile, for example, may work fine but if the dealership fails to treat customers well, the associated value for the customer will suffer.
