Explain why practice is important in developing a competitive advantage in some area
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: Studies show that true proficiency in a field such as music or sports takes an incredible amount of practice–10,000 hours over a ten-year period, for example, to become a world class tennis player or guitarist. Because of this need for repetition, any skill worth cultivating requires an enormous amount of practice. So if you are a graphic artist, for example, assume that you will need thousands of hours of practice before your skill gives you a true competitive edge over your competition.
