What is the difference between CNS and PNS?

The central nervous system (CNS) consists of the brain and the spinal cord. It is the center for controlling and coordinating the body's activities. The peripheral nervous system (PNS) is the nervous system outside the CNS and is responsible for gathering information and carrying the response signals to and from the central nervous system.
