Kinesics are behaviors such as gestures, body movements, facial expressions, and eye contact.
Examples:
The thumbs-up gesture commonly used in the United States by hitchhikers is more widely understood to mean “okay.” But in Greece and Sardinia, it more accurately communicates the idea of “get stuffed.” And in Australia, Iran, and Nigeria, it has similar obscene connotations.
