Answers should acknowledge the fact that the body does not wear out like a
machine but can repair itself and replace damaged cells. However, there is a
slowdown of functions. The other theories deal with cellular accidents (free
radicals), decline in the effectiveness of immune system, and genetic
preprogramming (end of cell division).
