Discuss the relationship between culture and national competitive advantage?
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: The value systems and norms of countries influence the costs of doing business in that country. These costs of doing business in the country influence the ability of firms to establish competitive advantage. Class based conflict between workers and management also raise the costs of doing business. For example, the ethics of Hinduism may not be supportive of capitalism and that can cause conflict. Organizations seeking to do business in other countries should try to learn countries culture in order to achieve competitive advantage.
