Internal stressors are within the individual's control and are often self-generated.
Examples: attitude, unrealistic goals, poor time management and problem-solving skills, poor study habits, not knowing how to prioritize
External stressors are outside the individual's control.
Examples: fast pace of life, high cost of living, crowded cities and freeways, demanding patients, physical disabilities, economy, difficult supervisors and coworkers, health problems of self and family
