Other methods include ensuring that families have the ability to produce enough food to meet their own nutritional needs and to have access to food markets as both buyers and sellers; preventing farmers and livestock operators from losing the land they have (either to natural forces or predatory market forces); increasing the land to which they have access; finding ways for them to offset the rising price of food purchased; and addressing the specific needs of women farmers who produce most of the food supply in developing countries.
