How many outbreaks occur in the United States each year?
What will be an ideal response?
No one really knows how many outbreaks occur in the United States each year. There are regulations about reporting outbreaks to health authorities, but many times these outbreaks are not seen in their entirety and never reported. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention does receive over 1,000 reported outbreaks per year in the U.S., but the actual numbers are often much higher.
