What should you do to prevent the spread of MRSA?
What will be an ideal response?
Clean facilities well especially the athletic training room, the locker room and the wrestling room. Clean all open wounds well. Discard gauze, band aids etc. in biohazard containers. Keep open wounds covered. Use gloves when treating wounds. Early detection is also important. If you notice that a person with an open wound is not healing as quickly as expected, refer them for evaluation. Once MRSA has been identified you need to inform others so that everyone can be more sensitive to cleaning and looking for signs of MRSA.
