Compare and contrast the roles of Athenian women with those of Spartan women

Please provide the best answer for the statement.

4Athenian women were not citizens and were excluded from most aspects of social life. They were married early, on average at 15 years of age, to men who were on average 30 years of age, and they were not educated. Their primary function was to produce male heirs. Athenian women did, however, participate in religious rituals and public festivals, and they played a significant role in cultural life, appearing as characters in plays, figures of sculpture, and key figures in mythology.
5.In contrast to the limited rights afforded Athenian women, the rights of Spartan women were considerable: they were taught to read and write, and they were encouraged to develop the same physical prowess as Spartan men; they met with their husbands only for procreative purposes and had little to do with their children, who were raised by the community. A woman’s property was her own to keep and manage, and if her husband was away too long at war, she was free to remarry.
