The role of a practitioner is to gather a variety of perspectives on the challenge or
opportunity, as well as potential objectives. With that in mind, these may not always be
the best communication objectives for that particular moment. Approved objectives also
often reflect--for better or worse--the organization’s internal politics, personalities, and
priorities.
