The two major sections are the header and the body.
An e-mail header is divided into fields that contain the sender's e-mail address, the recipient's address, a one-line summary of the message, and the date and time the message was written. Additional fields can contain addresses for sending copies, priority levels, and tracking information.
The body of an e-mail message contains the message itself and the data for any photos or supplementary files that are attached to the e-mail message.
