When a router books up, it starts to exchange link state information by querying LS_Request of the OSPF packet. The neighbor routers reply with this query by sending LS_Update packet. A link state update (LSU) contains several link state advertisements (LSA), and each LSA is acknowledged separately with a LS_Acknolwedgement. By how, all routers obtain link state advertisement.
