Talent agents are marketing intermediaries: their goal is to secure deals on behalf of their clients (a.k.a. "talent"). However, there are personal managers, talent agents, booking agents, business managers, lawyers and other intermediaries who act on behalf of talent as well. Sometimes the role of the agents can overlap, but it is important to understand that managers and agents are regulated differently.
