What will be an ideal response?

First, focus groups are time efficient. Instead of conducting multiple personal interviews
with one person at the time, you can interview several people simultaneously. Second, focus groups may provide more information than personal one-on-one interviews. Infocus groups, the interviewees often feed off each other's' comments, which results indeeper and more detailed information. Third, information gathered in a focus groupis more reliable than information from a single one-on-one interview. However, depending on your topic, an interview may be the best source of firsthand information.A second advantage of the personal interview is that it permits you to adapt yourtopic to your specific audience.Third, personal interviews provide opportunities for you to secure expert evaluationof your research and suggestions for further study. Finally, personal interviews can enhance your image as a speaker.
