List the steps for clearing an airway

(1) Wear gloves. (2) Grasp the mouth and open the jaw with the thumb and index finger. (3) Use the index finger to do a finger sweep to remove a foreign object. Care must be taken not to cause the object to be moved further back and cause an obstruction. (4) Make an airway using the head-tilt/chin-lift maneuver (if there is no evidence of neck injury).
