What are some of the downsides of the use of technology in politics?

What will be an ideal response?

Despite its positive effects, technology presents a series of challenges to both individual users and society as a whole. Given the abundance of information on the Internet, one key concern is the accuracy of information. As technology grows more sophisticated, privacy and security issues, including domestic surveillance and foreign interference, also become a concern. Another problem is the ability of the Internet to foment discord and extremism. Finally, finding a balance between free speech rights and the protection of the rights of individuals who face physical threats or threats to their reputations is also a challenge.
