Obviously, answers will vary. The main goal is to apply sound user-centered design principles, and create a mock-up that is easy to learn and use.
One way to approach the task would be to create an FDD that shows the five main functions described in the task. You should impress on students that before getting creative, they should be sure of what it is that they are trying to model. Then, that done, it might be helpful to list some of the tips and guidelines in the chapter that students should apply when they go to the “drawing board.”
