Describe the process of developing a news release for the Volunteer Clearinghouse using the IDEA idea
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: The first step in the process is idea generation through research, which results in a straightforward news story announcing a new executive director. Second, the arrangement of story follows the traditional inverted pyramid with the most important details (who, what, why, when, where, and how) presented first. Then the expression of the story takes place, with writing, revision, and further polishing. The fourth step is delivery, with emailing of the release to most reporters and posting on Facebook, Twitter, and the Volunteer Clearinghouse website.
