What types of treatments are most effective for enuresis?

What will be an ideal response?

There are medications for enuresis, but they do not cure the problem on their own. There is frequent relapse when the drug is discontinued or the child habituates to it. Some evidence suggests that a biobehavioral approach-that is, using a urine alarm along with desmopressin-is most effective. With or without treatment, the incidence of enuresis tends to decrease significantly with age, but many experts still believe it should be treated in childhood, because there is currently no way to identify which children will remain enuretic into adulthood.
