Procedure: Low cervical cesarean section

After the patient was prepared for surgery, a lower abdominal transverse incision was made and the uterus was identified. A bladder retractor was placed, and a transverse incision was made in the lower uterine segment. A 6-pound, 4-ounce female infant was delivered. The baby was taken to the intensive care unit. The surgical wound was closed. The patient tolerated the procedure with minimal blood loss.
