Discuss what needs to be considered when ensuring the physical requirements of the investigation.

In order to set up a proper digital forensics function, the digital forensics professional has to ensure that the actual equipment that performs the digital forensics investigations is both available as well as capable of supporting the digital forensics function. Moreover, because the gathering of electronic evidence often requires a highly controlled physical environment, the digital forensics professional is also responsible for ensuring that the electrical, thermal, acoustic, and physical security requirements of the digital investigation space are continuously satisfied.

In conjunction with this latter responsibility, the digital forensics professional is responsible for making certain that the software requirements of the digital forensics lab are kept up to date, including ensuring the software configuration of the forensic laboratory and mobile toolkit software.

Finally, because digital forensics investigations are based on technology, the digital forensics process and its equipment always have to evolve with that technology. The problem is that technology evolves at a rapid pace. One additional responsibility of the digital forensics professional is to stay on top of change as it occurs and make appropriate changes to the technology as needed.

A request-reply protocol is implemented over a communication service with omission failures to provide at-least-once RMI invocation semantics. In the first case the implementor assumes an asynchronous distributed system. In the second case the implementor assumes that the maximum time for the communication and the execution of a remote method is T. In what way does the latter assumption simplify the implementation?
