There are many benefits to starting early: 1) It provides you with the time needed to process the information you're going to talk about and to get used to the idea of preparing for the presentation. 2) It provides you with the time to overcome the inevitable roadblocks and unanticipated problems that will come up. 3) It gives you time to rehearse to ensure that your delivery will be effective. 4) It allows you to feel confident and prepared, so it reduces the fear of public speaking. 5) It may actually enable you to avoid health problems commonly resulting fromthe nervousness associated with procrastination, such as colds, flu, gastrointestinal issues, or insomnia.
