Explain the policy of co-determination
What will be an ideal response?
German law recognizes the right of workers to have an influence on
management decisions and the law on co-determination means that workers have a
greater degree of representation on the board of directors of all German companies
with more than 500 employees. Although labor never has the deciding vote in decisions,
employers do need to consider the interests of labor under this system and they are
motivated to seek mutually beneficial solutions.
