What will be an ideal response?

Conflict must not be avoided in small groups. In fact, conflict is what allows for new perspectives and the free exchange of ideas. When conflict does occur, the use of principled negotiation is
recommended. Principled negotiation is where the differing needs (or perspectives) of group members
are expressed and alternatives are identified to meet both needs (perspectives). Negotiation is
necessary to resolve rigidity in positions.
