The chapter describes three levels of commitment to feedback. Name and briefly describe these
What will be an ideal response?
Three levels of commitment to feedback are:
• Reluctant, compliant. This means that we half-heartedly gather feedback because we feel obligated to do so. We neither encourage customers to give it nor enthusiastically act on it. We do little to make it easy for customers to give feedback.
• Active listener. We are genuinely open to feedback and "listen" (to multiple forms of input, not just spoken words). We make it quite easy for customers and reinforce their input.
• Metrics-conscious. We quantify as much data as possible and use this feedback to make organizational decisions. We keep score over extended periods of time and refer to these data regularly to manage and improve the company.
